End Organ Harvesting
The idea is to raise as much awareness as possible, however in doing so I wanted certain parts to come across at different speeds. From the start the colouring catches the eye but also hints China(the hex code for the colours of Chinese flag are used). I wanted this to shout at people when they were near the poster. The quote used is striking and hits hard. The background imagery is supposed to fill in some gaps. The prices of the kidneys are in the background at the top along with the Chinese currency in the bottom. This will hopefully get the message across over why this atrocity is happening - for money. The centre piece is a group of men. The colour used is the blue of the United Nations. A colour that is largely associated with peace and equality. The centre man has his centre stitched up interacting with the purpose of the piece. Behind him we see others, smaller and fading away. This is an optical trick to induce the onlooker into the poster. It also signifies the many people who have had organs harvested but are invisible to the wider world. Finally, a call to action and where to go to help. Arguably the most important part of the piece. Raising awareness is important, but showing people what they can do is equally important.
