The background of the poster is a patchwork of pieces of human skin sown together with surgical sutures. The image provokes shock and disgust. It is reminiscent of Dr. Frankenstein's monster, an abomination that desecrates the human body. The comparison is justified further when we consider that as in the movie, the doctor is the real monster. The text looks tattooed on the assemblage of skin, and evokes both the irreversible nature of organ harvesting and the tattoos forced on prisoners of Nazi concentration camps.
